Affligem Blonde is a traditional Belgian abbey beer with a clear golden color and dense, rich foam. Its finely spicy aroma with notes of yeast and clove reflects its long history dating back to the year 1074. The initial taste is refreshingly tart, followed by a soft malt sweetness with spicy gingerbread hints and fruity notes of banana and tropical fruits. The finish combines a delicate bitter hop note with a touch of citrus. As a multiple award-winning pale beer, including recognition at the World Beer Awards 2016, it reveals its full character ideally at 6–8°C in the specially shaped Affligem glass.
