The latest product from Brooklyn was originally developed for the Swedish market. In Scandinavia, legislation regarding alcohol consumption and the advertising of alcoholic products is very strict. The higher the alcohol content of a product, the higher the tax. Classic IPA's usually boast more than 6% alcohol and would be correspondingly expensive in Sweden. To get round this, Garrett Oliver and his brewing team have brewed Scorcher IPA: a surprisingly accessible IPA with only 4.5% alcohol.
Brooklyn Scorcher IPA conquers the nose with floral hop aromas and notes of pine needles. A hint of malt on the palate before the hops launch their tart, aromatic attack. A clean, lively finish towards the end that leaves you wanting more. The Scorcher IPA goes very well with savoury dishes, salads, grilled meat, cheddar or feta.
