Brussels Beer Project Babylone is a pioneering beer, brewed for the first time with recycled bread. This so-called "Bread IPA" was created from the desire to combine brewing art and sustainability by reusing unsold bread. At the end of last year, the original Babylone recipe was revised and tested in a prototype competition against three new recipes, all based on recycled bread. The new recipe prevailed and makes the beer even more accessible to a broader audience. Through this innovative brewing process, about 10 tons of bread waste are recycled annually, making Babylone not only a taste highlight but also a symbol of sustainable brewing. The future is circular, and Brussels Beer Project is leading the way.
