Fürstenberg Premium Pilsener has a long tradition that dates back to brewmaster Josef Munz. At the end of the 19th century, he brewed one of the first beers in the Pilsener style in Germany and named it "Bohemia," inspired by his Bohemian heritage. This Pilsener was elevated by Emperor Wilhelm II during his visits to Donaueschingen Castle to the status of "Table Drink of His Majesty the Emperor."
Even today, the Premium Pilsener is brewed according to the original recipe, using a special yeast developed by the brewery. The finest brewing malt, mainly from the region, and a special blend of Hallertau and Tettnang aroma hops, combined with a long maturation period, give the beer its characteristic aroma and uniquely fine bitter note. Brewed near the source of the Danube, Fürstenberg Premium Pilsener naturally follows the German Beer Purity Law, which stands for the highest quality and pure beer enjoyment.
