For the Astrum Pale Ale, the brewers used the magnificent Galaxy hops, imported from Tasmania, Australia, which provide an enchanting citrus aroma. And the brewers combined them with the finest hops from Flanders to create a perfectly balanced brew. Notes of papaya, passion fruit, gooseberry, and orange emphasize the crisp, lively character of Astrum and complement the pronounced spicy notes and the delicate, biscuit-like quality of our malts into a smooth, refreshing brew.
The Astrum Pale Ale was developed and brewed in the new microbrewery "Grimbergen Abbey Brewery," built within the walls of the abbey. A place where tradition and innovation create unique beers.
