Delicate notes of pear, orange and vanilla are supported by a smooth, sometimes sweet malt quality to create a delicious flavour. The addition of Nelson Sauvin hops gives the beer a New World flavour. And thanks to a special mashing process and a second fermentation, the overall character is more akin to a dry, sparkling wine.
The Magnum Opus was developed and brewed in the new microbrewery "Grimbergen Abbey Brewery", which was built within the walls of the abbey. A place where tradition and innovation come together to create unique beers.
