Jupiler

Jupiler is Belgium's best-selling and most beloved pilsner, brewed by the Piedboeuf brewery in Jupille-sur-Meuse near Liège, whose history dates back to 1950 and which, since its decisive relaunch in September 1966 as Jupiler 5 – named after its alcohol content and its five ingredients – has embarked on an unparalleled triumph through Belgian beer culture thanks to its fresh finish and mild character. Bottom-fermented and brewed with the addition of maize, the beer has a lightly sweet body with nuances of bread and a honey-sweet malt note, while the finish reveals a pleasing, pilsner-typical bitterness of green, grassy hops.

The current Jupiler has a lightly bitter taste and contains 5.2% alcohol by volume, with the ideal drinking temperature at 3 degrees Celsius, and with a market share of 45% in Belgium, this straw-yellow, large-bubbled pilsner stands unchallenged at the top of the Belgian beer scene as the undisputed people's beer of an entire nation.

In its homeland, Jupiler has risen through its young history and a successful marketing campaign as a long-standing sponsor of the Belgian national football team, the Rode Duivels, to become a true folk pilsner and a constant companion from the stadium to the cycling festival – today exported to over 20 countries as part of the world's largest brewing group AB InBev, while always remaining true to its promise of an uncomplicated, easy-drinking and refreshing pilsner for every moment and every occasion.
