The base is a Russian Imperial Stout (RIS) with oats and chocolate, which was initially aged for ten months in a Heaven Hill Kentucky Straight Bourbon barrel. This aging imparts warm vanilla and caramel notes to the beer, perfectly harmonizing with the chocolatey roasted aromas. It was then subjected to a second maturation in a Cognac barrel, adding fine fruity nuances and a gentle woody spice.
