In 18th century London, the precursor to Porter was said to be a drink consisting of one third ale, common beer, and high-quality "Twopenny Ale."
It was called Porter because it was especially popular among the porters. The Müller Bräu Red Porter Ale combines only the finest specialty malts, high-quality aromatic hops, and its own spring water.
