Black with caramel, chocolate and roasted notes, mild bitterness
Tripel Noire is, alongside Blonde and Ambrée, the third classic abbey beer. Black beer is considered nutritious. Especially in England, it was widespread as "Porter" – beer for the dockworkers.
The Ambrée is the classic abbey beer. Its color comes from the mostly lightly roasted malts used at the time.
