Westmalle Dubbel is a dark, reddish-brown Trappist beer with an alcohol content of 7%, which is characterised by its fruity and refreshing properties. Thanks to the secondary fermentation in the bottle, this beer develops a rich and complex flavour, characterised by notes of caramel, malt and fruity esters reminiscent of ripe bananas. From the very first sip, the Westmalle Dubbel impresses with a creamy, thick head and leaves fine lace marks in the glass. Most remarkable, however, is the long, dry finish, which makes this balanced Trappist beer with its soft mouthfeel unforgettable.
