Westmalle Extra is a golden blonde Trappist beer with a low alcohol content of 4.8%, which nevertheless has a surprisingly full-bodied flavour. It is very refreshing and thirst-quenching and offers a typical Westmalle flavour experience with its fruity notes and rich aroma. This beer is one of Westmalle Abbey's oldest and dates back to 1836, when the monks began brewing a light, flavoursome beer for their own consumption. This tradition gave rise to Westmalle Extra, which still bears the monks' signature today.
