Bacchus Kriek is a refreshing cherry beer based on the regional speciality Vlaams Roodbruin, a sweet and sour Flemish red-brown beer. This fruit beer is based on the West Flemish sour beer speciality Roodbruin, a recognised regional product from the south-west of West Flanders. The base beer is created using a complex mixed fermentation process that combines top-fermenting yeast and lactic acid bacteria, followed by maturation in oak barrels. Natural sour cherries are added to flavour the beer. Before bottling, the flavour profile is rounded off by the addition of sugar and sweetener, creating a harmonious sweet and sour aroma.
