Störtebeker Bernstein-Weizen is a natural, top-fermented wheat beer that follows on from the long tradition of North German beer brewing since the Hanseatic era. Originally, people in northern Germany switched from dark or red beers to "Weiss" or wheat beers in order to impress the international export markets of the Hanseatic League with new creations. Störtebeker Braumanufaktur continues this tradition and brews the most popular wheat beer in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with its amber wheat beer. With an original wort of 12.9 % and an alcohol content of 5.3 % vol., this beer has a fresh, fruity character and should ideally be served at a drinking temperature of 10°C.
